This set of maps presents the proportional distribution of elderly population in Hong Kong by District Council District between 1997 and 2006. Here "elderly" is defined by an age of 65 or above. The elderly proportion is expressed a percentage of the district population, using graduated symbols in the map. Data for the maps were obtained from the Census and Statistics Department, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. Over the 10-year period, the elderly population has increased more significantly in Hong Kong Island and Kowloon peninsular, compared to the New territories. During the period, The elderly proportion has remained relatively lower in Tuen Mun and Sai Kung.

這一組地圖顯示由一九九七年至二零零六年期間香港各區議會分區長者人口比例。長者的定義是年齡六十五歲或以上，人數按區議會分區人口計算，地圖以等值區間描繪。數據由香港政府統計處提供。在十年期間，相比新界各區，九龍與香港島有較高的長者百份比，而同期屯門區及西貢區的長者百份比相對較低。地圖數據源自香港政府統計處。
